We attend to a workshop on anthropomorphic phantoms

Last week, seventeen European experts in medical physics, including ViCOROB’s member Oliver Díaz, attended to a workshop on anthropomorphic phantoms at the Technical University of Varna (Bulgaria). This course corresponds to the fifth module of the series EUTEMPE·RX (European Training and Education for Medical Physics Experts in Radiology).   For a week, all participants learnt to implement realistic computer models which resemble anatomical structures, organs or whole human body. The experience to attend VISAPP and IAPR-MVA

In March and April, I had the opportunity to attend two different international conferences to present my work about 3D registration. The first one was the International Conference on Computer Vision Theory and Applications (VISAPP) in Berlin. It was my first time in a conference and the experience was overwhelming. We were arround 300 participants exchanging our work in progress. WE ATTEND THE EUROPEAN ROBOTICS FORUM IN VIENNA

Last week we participated actively in European Robotics Forum that took place in the beautiful city of Vienna (Austria). There, besides meeting with researchers in robotics field in Europe, we had the chance to participate in the Entrepreneurial Workshop (in the framework of ROCKeu project) and to attend presentations on various projects on our field.   In the event, the main representatives of euRobotics platform where chosen.
