ViBOT Day 2012: offering new opportunities

ViBOT Day is an opportunity to recruit new graduates, is a one-day event during which you will learn more about ViBOT and the collaborative opportunities that are offered to companies whishing to sponsor the program.

You may attend several oral poster presentations given by newly graduated students that will raise your awareness of the students as well as the high level of the courses taught in the program. Moreover, this one-day event will also be an opportunity for you to meet and discuss with the past, current and future international students.

2nd TRIDENT project Annual Meeting

Form the 2ond to the 4rt of may 2012, held the TRIDENT 2nd annual meeting project at the Center for Underwater Robotics Research (CIRS) at the Girona University. The aim of this meeting was to share knowledge and progress on this project. Researchers from different universities that are part of the project worked hard to Girona500 on the mechanical arm and hand. Finally the meeting was attended by the reviewers of the European Union, responsible for giving the go-ahead to the project.

The Social Work Programme of Caixa Catalunya and the VIBOT Masters

Following the collaboration agreement signed in 2011 by The Social Work Programme (Obra Social) of Caixa Catalunya and the University of Girona, this year and for the second year running a scholarship at the amount of 12,000 euros is available for master students of the VIBOT programme at the Computer Vision and Robotics (VICOROB) research group .
In order to obtain the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a Spanish citizen
- Be fluent in English
- Have an excellent academic CV
The selected candidate will receive a grant of 12,000 euros, which corresponds to the cost of tuition for the 2012-2013 academic year, plus a supplementary grant.

The Erasmus Mundus Master in Vision and Robotics (VIBOT) is a EU funded programme of excellence aimed at those wishing to become experts in the field of computer vision and robotics. The duration of the programme is 2 years, and the coursework is distributed across four semesters, each taking place in a different country. Oficial Opening Ceremony 2012

Today 23^th February 2012 was conducted the official ViBOT and ViCOT opening master at P-IV building (University of Girona). The introduction was chaired by Dr. Robert Martin who encouraged all studens to study hard also has led to "enjoy Girona and create good memories of your stay."
