Underwater Vision Lab

Directed:         Dr. Rafael Garcia

In this case, the main research line focus in the development of systems for the construction of georeffered underwater mosaics, including the construction of big images, as well as 3D information from the seabed.

Projects:

System construction of multimodal maps for the characterization of deep marine both by the utilization of an autonomous robot

This project proposes the development of a new high resolution seafloor mapping system for large areas of the ocean floor, with direct applications to environmental studies, oceanography, geology, biology and the offshore industry.
