{"id":7111,"date":"2019-07-03T09:55:28","date_gmt":"2019-07-03T09:55:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vicorob.udg.edu\/?p=7111"},"modified":"2019-07-03T09:55:28","modified_gmt":"2019-07-03T09:55:28","slug":"udg-and-iqua-participation-to-the-oceans19-mts-ieee-conference-in-marseille","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vicorob.udg.edu\/ca\/udg-and-iqua-participation-to-the-oceans19-mts-ieee-conference-in-marseille\/","title":{"rendered":"UDG AND IQUA PARTICIPATION TO THE OCEANS\u201919 MTS\/IEEE CONFERENCE IN MARSEILLE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oceans19mtsieeemarseille.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oceans\u201919 MTS\/IEE conference<\/a> took place from the 17th to 20th of June 2019 in Marseille, France.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The aim of this conference includes the divulgation of maritime scientific and technologic papers, as well as<\/p>\n<p>the consequent networking between professionals and researchers in a wide range of fields related to the innovation, study and protection of ocean resources.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cirs.udg.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Girona Underwater Vision and Robotics<\/strong><\/a> team participated in all aspects of the conference, <strong>Patryk Cie\u015blak<\/strong> presented a paper on <em>\u201cStonefish: An Advanced Open-Source Simulation Tool Designed for Marine Robotics, <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>With a ROS Interface\u201d.<\/em> <strong>Nuno Gracias<\/strong> and <strong>J\u00falia Bozzino<\/strong> attended the conference as coauthors of J\u00e9r\u00e9my Billant\u2019s paper titled <em>\u201cPerforming submarine field survey without scuba gear using GIS-like mapping in a Virtual Reality environment\u201d<\/em>.
