Image Analysis

[layerslider id="21"]

The Image Analysis line is commited to developing and optimizing methods (including both hardware and software developments) for analysis of data, with particular focus on the study of medical images. To this end, we develop computer algorithms which include techniques such as image segmentation, pattern recognition, object detection and characterization, statistical signal processing, and registration.

The capabilities of the Image Analysis Lab include image analysis for a variety of modalities including X-ray, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound, and computed tomography. Currently, the lab is engaged in Computer-Aided Detection (CADe) and Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CADx) of breast cancer in mammograms and MRI.
