New Chapter Begins for Erasmus Mundus Robotics Students

On September 19th, the University of Girona (UdG) hosted a day induction event to welcome the new cohort of students joining the Erasmus Mundus Master in Intelligent Field Robotic Systems (IFRoS) and Master in Intelligent Robotic Systems (MIRS) programs. This year’s cohort was greeted not only by UdG faculty but also by representatives from the partner universities: the University of Zagreb (UNIZG) and Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in Budapest.

The event kicked off with presentations from each of the three universities, offering students valuable insight into their future academic and cultural experiences in Girona, Zagreb, and Budapest. Faculty and program coordinators introduced the master’s structure and highlighted the unique opportunity this international collaboration offers in cutting-edge robotics research.

Students also explored the Montilivi Campus, where they will spend the first year of their studies, visiting key facilities such as the Polytechnic School, where most of the classes will be held, and the university library.

This master’s program offers the unique opportunity to work with top experts and participate in cutting-edge international research projects.

ViBOT Day 2015 in Girona

The ViBOT day is an event that the Erasmus Mundus Master VIBOT organizes every year at the Scientific and Technological park at the University of Girona. In this occasion, it took place last 16th of June 2015 with the main goal of establishing a link between companies and graduate students.

Along the ViBOT day the students have the chance to present their work in front of a wide audience in which there are other students but also professors and companies. On the other hand, interested companies, present their job profiles as well as their activity to try attracting talent.

The Erasmus Mundus Master ViBOT is a 2 year programe funded by the European Commission in which they study around 30 students per annum on the fields of computer vision and robotics. The University of La Bourgogne and Heriot Watt University are the other two partners of the ViBOT consortium.

El màster VIBOT rep una beca per a Màsters d’Excel.lència de la Fundació Catalunya-La Pedrera

La Fundació Catalunya-La Pedrera ha atorgat, un any més, una beca per a Màsters d’Excel.lència al Màster VIBOT. Amb aquestes beques La Fundació vol reconèixer i atraure el talent, fomentar l’excel•lència i contribuïr a fer de Catalunya un referent en l’àmbit dels estudis de postgrau de qualitat. Els màsters inclosos en el programa de beques es fan a Catalunya i s’han considerat excel•lents tenint en compte la seva projecció internacional. Són impartits en llengua anglesa, amb professorat de prestigi i amb una clara orientació a la recerca. L’acte d’entrega oficial va tenir lloc dilluns passat a La Pedrera, Barcelona. Van assistir, en Robert Martí, com a representació del VIBOT, i l’Iu Ayala Portella, com a estudiant becat.
