From June 9th to 12th, researchers from the medical imaging research group of VICOROB attended the 17th Workshop on Breast Imaging held this year at the University of Chicago.
This multidisciplinary workshop, attended by radiologists, engineers, technologists, epidemiologists, and medical physics specialists, showcases the latest technical advances and clinical experiences in new imaging modalities for the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of breast cancer.
VICOROB presented two posters (with Ricardo Montoya as the main author) and an oral presentation by Eloy García. Since its celebration in Girona in 2010, VICOROB researchers have also participated in the conference’s scientific committee.
Beyond the scientific interest of the conference, it has been a great opportunity to reconnect with research friends and colleagues (such as Dr. Reyer Zwiggelaar), strengthen existing collaborations, and establish new ones.
