CIRS – Underwater vision and Robotics

CIRS is the Underwater vision and robotics Research Center where part of ViCOROB research is conducted. Thanks to years of quality research, the Center has become a benchmark in Spain for the design and construction of robots and the software needed for them to operate autonomously without any connection to the surface.

 

For the last 15 years ViCOROB has designed and developed a total of 6 underwater vehicles: GARBI ROV, URIS, GARBI-AUV, ICTINEU AUV, SPARUS and GIRONA 500, suitable for scientific and industrial uses. And currently, ViCOROB is testing SPARUS II, evolution of SPARUS AUV.
